Western blot analysis of SLC30A4 using anti-SLC30A4 antibody (BA3484). The sample well of each lane was loaded with 30 ug of sample under reducing conditions.
Lane 1: MCF-7 whole cell lysates,
Lane 2: A549 whole cell lysates.
After electrophoresis, proteins were transferred to a membrane. Then the membrane was incubated with rabbit anti-SLC30A4 antigen affinity purified polyclonal antibody (BA3484) at a dilution of 1:1000 and probed with a goat anti-rabbit IgG-HRP secondary antibody (Catalog # BA1054). The signal is developed using ECL Plus Western Blotting Substrate (Catalog # AR1197). A specific band was detected for SLC30A4 at approximately 47 kDa. The expected band size for SLC30A4 is at 47 kDa.

SLC30A4 was detected in a paraffin-embedded section of rat pancreas tissue. Biotinylated goat anti-rabbit IgG was used as secondary antibody. The tissue section was incubated with rabbit anti-SLC30A4 Antibody (BA3484) at a dilution of 1:200 and developed using Strepavidin-Biotin-Complex (SABC) (Catalog # SA1022) with DAB (Catalog # AR1027) as the chromogen.

Zinc transporter 4, also called SLC30A4 or ZNT4 is a protein that in humans is encoded by the SLC30A4 gene. SLC30A4, or ZNT4 belongs to the ZNT family of zinc transporters. This gene is mapped to 15q21.1. Zinc is the second most abundant trace metal in the human body. It is an essential element, serving both a structural role, as in the formation of zinc fingers in DNA-binding proteins, and a catalytic role in metalloenzymes, such as pancreatic carboxypeptidases, alkaline phosphatases, various dehydrogenases, and superoxide dismutases. ZNTs are involved in transporting zinc out of the cytoplasm and have similar structures, consisting of 6 transmembrane domains and a histidine-rich cytoplasmic loop.
