Western blot analysis of Surfactant protein D/SFTPD using anti-Surfactant protein D/SFTPD antibody (PB0655). The sample well of each lane was loaded with 30 ug of sample under reducing conditions.
Lane 1: Rat lung tissue lysates,
Lane 2: Rat brain tissue lysates,
Lane 3: PANC whole cell lysates.
After electrophoresis, proteins were transferred to a membrane. Then the membrane was incubated with rabbit anti-Surfactant protein D/SFTPD antigen affinity purified polyclonal antibody (PB0655) at a dilution of 1:1000 and probed with a goat anti-rabbit IgG-HRP secondary antibody (Catalog # BA1054). The signal is developed using ECL Plus Western Blotting Substrate (Catalog # AR1197). A specific band was detected for Surfactant protein D/SFTPD at approximately 38 kDa. The expected band size for Surfactant protein D/SFTPD is at 38 kDa.

IHC analysis of Surfactant protein D/SFTPD using anti-Surfactant protein D/SFTPD antibody (PB0655).
Surfactant protein D/SFTPD was detected in a paraffin-embedded section of human lung cancer tissue. Biotinylated goat anti-rabbit IgG was used as secondary antibody. The tissue section was incubated with rabbit anti-Surfactant protein D/SFTPD Antibody (PB0655) at a dilution of 1:200 and developed using Strepavidin-Biotin-Complex (SABC) (Catalog # SA1022) with DAB (Catalog # AR1027) as the chromogen.

Surfactant, pulmonary-associated protein D, also known as SFTPD or SP-D, is a protein which in humans is encoded by the SFTPD gene. It is mapped to 10q22.2-q23.1. The protein encoded by this gene is part of the innate immune response, protecting the lungs against inhaled microorganisms and chemicals. The encoded protein may also be involved in surfactant metabolism.
